This short visual poem portrays the struggle to keep the big picture in mind while the banality of ordinary life conspires to drag us ever downward. Archival images of earth filmed from the space shuttle induce a meditative state in the viewer, that is repeatedly disrupted by earthbound sound and image fragments.
Commissioned by Christine Reisen for ARTE-FRANCE. Produced by Movimento, Paris. Screened at MIX festival 2002 at Anthology Film Archives in New York City, and the 2003 Black Maria and Nashville Film Festivals
