This short visual poem portrays the struggle to keep the big picture in mind while the banality of ordinary life conspires to drag us ever-downward. Images of earth filmed from the space shuttle induce a meditative state in the viewer, which is repeatedly interrupted by brief, earthbound sound and image fragments.

Commissioned by ARTE-FRANCE. Produced by Movimento, Paris. Screened at MIX festival 2002 at Anthology Film Archives in New York City, and the 2003 Black Maria and Nashville Film Festivals.
